Passport Services
- As of December 18, 2023 routine processing is approximately 6 to 8 weeks and expedited processing (for additional fees) is 2 to 3 weeks.
- Processing times begin the day your application is received at a passport agency or center, not the day your application is mailed.
- Payment for the passport book/card to the U.S. Department of State must be a personal check or money order
- Payment for passport acceptance fee (new applications) and passport photos is paid separate from the payment to U.S. Department of State and may be a personal check, money order or cash
The Calhoun County Auditor's Office is a passport acceptance facility and can assist any U.S. citizen, who meets the passport application requirements. All border travel in and out of the U.S., as of June 1, 2009, requires a passport for all ages. We can help with:
- Obtaining a new passport
- Renewing a passport
- Passport photos (Recorder's Office)
Passport hours are from 9:00am to 4:00pm in the Auditor's Office.
