Hello,
The Calhoun County Conservation Board would like to start by thanking you for your interest in staying with us! We offer a selection of 7 cabins that are situated on North Twin Lakes, and the cabins are broken into 5 smaller cabins and 2 larger cabins. The smaller cabins offer sleeping space for 6 people to sleep comfortably, and the larger cabins offer a comfortable sleeping capacity of 8 people. Please see the information below to assess which cabin size would accommodate your stay with us.
Small Cabins:
All small cabins are designed the same and include a half bathroom – sink & toilet, small table, mini fridge, microwave, A/C & Heating unit, ceiling fan, double style bunk beds -2 twin/2 full, trash can, dust pan and broom, outside picnic table, and fire ring. Campers supply all toiletries, cooking utensils, food/beverage, and bedding linens. Linens include but are not limited to pillows, sheets, covers, blankets, or simply a sleeping bag if that is your camping style!
Reservations can be made from April through November and the rental fee is $60.00 per night. These cabins have a two-night minimum stay for Friday and Saturday's and rent over Memorial Day and Labor Day for a minimum of three nights.
Large Cabins:
Our two larger cabins feature a main living room area with a pull-out futon couch, reclining chair, TV/DVD comb on stand, end table, and lamp. They also feature an upstairs living room area that mimics the same amenities as downstairs. These cabins also include full bathrooms, full kitchens including microwave, refrigerator, stove, toaster, coffee maker, dining table set, and sink. Ceiling fans, A/C & Heating Unit, vacuum, dust pan and broom, two outdoor picnic tables, a fire ring and one downstairs bedroom also accompany these large cabins.
We like to advise renters that there is a slight difference between the two large cabins in the way the upstairs areas are designed. Cabin Muskie is designed with an open area loft space that provides two additional queen-sized beds, and Cabin Sunfish provides two separate bedroom areas that include one room with a queen-sized bed, and the other bedroom offers one full and one twin sized bed. So, if privacy is preferred by members of your family, you may look into booking the Sunfish cabin for that additional benefit and reason.
Reservations can be made from April through November and the rental price is $120.00 per night. These cabins have a two-night minimum stay for Friday and Saturday's outside of the busy season (Memorial Day to Labor Day). During busy season, both cabins have a one week (7 day) rental minimum. For the weekends of Memorial Day and Labor Day, this cabin has a minimum rental of three-nights stay.
We hope that whatever event brings you to Calhoun County, you are able to enjoy some time out with us and that your stay is enjoyable. If you have further questions after accessing our “how to make a reservation” page, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 712-297-7131. Thank you again for your interest in staying with us! We hope you can make it to the lake!
