Candidate Filing

Nomination papers for county offices must be filed in the County Auditor's office.  
Signatures Needed:
  • County Board of Supervisor District #1 and District #3: at least 21 signatures (Signatures must be eligible electors of the supervisor district)
  • County Auditor and Sheriff: at least 50 signatures (Signatures must be eligible electors of the county)
County Filing Period: March 4 – March 22 (5:00 p.m.)

Voter Registration

Pre-Registration deadline for voter registration closes at 5:00 PM Monday, May 20. Persons wishing to participate in this election who register to vote after May 20 will be required to provide proof of identification (i.e. current and valid photo identification card with an expiration date), AND proof of residency in their voting precinct, when they go to the polls on election day, or when they request an absentee ballot in-person. Persons not registered to vote by May 20 should expect a longer processing time at the polls on election day.

Absentee Ballots

Absentee Ballots will be available beginning Wednesday, May 15 for mail and in-person voting. Download the absentee ballot request form here

  • March 26 - First day the Auditor's Office can begin accepting Absentee Ballot Request Forms.
  • May 15 - First day for in-person absentee voting and the first day the Auditor's Office can mail ballots.
  • May 20 - Deadline to request and absentee ballots to be mailed is 5:00 p.m.
  • June 3 - Last day for in-person absentee voting.
All absentee ballots must be received by 8:00 PM on Election Day to be considered on time to be counted.

Extended Hours

  • May 20 - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • May 31 - 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • June 1 - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • June 4 (Election Day) - Polls open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
